Description

Nine murals of different colored patterns utilizing the same geometry and motif illustrating the complexity of global diversity and the outstretched hand of friendship.

Kanner Architect’s rendering of the building for the Ross/Snyder Recreational Center, Los Angeles, CA. Murals of different colors. 2004 AIACC Merit Award, Kanner Architects. Says the architect, “Concrete-block walls insulate the building, and its composition of interlocking geometric forms and the variety of color abstractly represent the diverse community it serves.” It has become a major communal focal point for the neighborhood.
